Our Story

Our aim with evyie is to re-imagine the 21st century work uniform by creating beautiful clothes, handmade from fine fabrics and a contemporary aesthetic. We're all about thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices. Entirely designed and constructed in our Sydney studio, at the core of each garment exists a philosophy of simplicity in design. 

For us, creating clothing is an intimate process. We consider how a design will be worn, where it will be worn and how it will age beautifully over time. From design to pattern engineering to sampling and small scale production, we are guided by our principles of simplicity and sustainability. 

Evyie designer Ly Dinu was born in Thailand and raised in Sydney where she learned to sew from generations of dressmakers before her. From a very early age, making had always been at the heart of daily life. While growing up in Sydney, she learned to create all the clothes she wore. She has been sewing for as long as she can remember so starting evyie felt like the most natural progression.
